About this Event
Hak4Kidz is an event designed by ethical hackers and Information Security professionals, dedicated to bringing the educational and communal benefits of white hat hacking conferences to children and young adults, from 7-17 years of age. We accomplish our mission by putting our collective expertise and passion on display in activities that allow attendees to interact with a variety of technologies and skill sets. A combination of an open area of STEHM stations, and concentrated workshops will enable the attendees to expand and enlighten their technical interests.
Hak4Kidz will run from 9:30am - 4:30pm on October 4th. Hak4Kidz is designed for children and young adults, age 7-17. All children and young adults must be accompanied by a parent/guardian who is required to remain with them throughout the event.
Session is limited to 30 participants. Check-in will start when BSidesTO check-in opens. If your child is taking part in the Damn Vulnerable Web App Lab or LLM Hacking Lab, please bring a laptop for your child to use. Light lunch and snacks will be provided.
Please note - Toronto Metropolitan University is not a nut free facility.
